2008 Utah Youth Goalball
Tournament UFB's State Youth Goalball Tournament is for all players ages 6-18 who qualify. All younger players and those who need some modifications to the rules will compete in Division Two. No hard throwers are allowed in this division; however, there are some qualifying standards that players must meet in order to compete at the tournament. These new standards will help all players improve their skills, and provide for a more enjoyable tournament for everybody.
Don't miss the information about the 2008 USA National Goalball Championship Tournament being held in Salt Lake this June. It will be an exciting event and we have activities planned for the kids leading up to this event.
2007 Utah Youth Goalball Tournament UFB's 12th annual goalball tournament was a tremendous success! A total of 77 athletes ages 6-18, some traveling several hours to attend, were divided into 19 teams and played a total of 47 matches in three gyms in less than seven hours. No wonder there were so many tired people at the end of the day.
Thank you to all the parents, teachers, and the other volunteers who helped with the tournament and with practices the past months. We appreciate your effort and time in helping the kids have a good experience. Congratulations
to all of the athletes! We all had fun playing and we enjoyed the good food and
seeing old friends again. We were pleased to see so many athletes who have
improved their skills. Many of the players were there for the first time, and
did a good job. We will be looking forward to seeing all the athletes again when
next season begins so we can start working on improving skills again.
