Athletic Programs
The Utah Foundation for the Blind and Visually Impaired sponsors a variety of athletic programs throughout the year. These programs are intended to provide visually impaired children an opportunity to participate in numerous activities that promote physical fitness, motor development, sportsmanship, social skills, leadership, and self esteem. Experiences of competing on a team or participating in individual sports is an important part of life where many skills and lessons are learned. Blind children need these opportunities and UFB strives to provide numerous options for children to learn skills they will benefit from for a lifetime.
