UFB Summer Camps

Applications are now being accepted for UFB's summer camps. The initial deadline to apply for camps is April 30th. Applications received after that date may be considered depending on space available. To make sure your application is considered it should be received by UFB no later than April 30th.

Camp applications can be downloaded here or you may request an application be mailed to you by contacting UFB

The first four pages need to be completed for and of the camps being applied for. The last four pages are camp specific and you need to fill out only the pages for the camp(s) you are applying for.

REMEMBER: Camp applications need to be received by April 30th. Do not send any money with the application. If accepted, we will then contact you about camp fees.

 

Descriptions of UFB Summer Camps

June 23-28          Expanded Core Camp: Ages 12-16/span>

This camp will combine fun activities with instructional learning in selected components of the "Expanded Core Curriculum for Blind and Visually Impaired Children." Conducted by the Utah Foundation for the Blind.

 

June 28-July 1    Expanded Core Camp: Ages 8-12

This camp is similar to the above camp but for younger children. It will combine fun activities with instructional learning in selected components of the "Expanded Core Curriculum for Blind and Visually Impaired Children." Conducted by the Utah Foundation for the Blind.

 

July 7-9         Outdoor Camp: Ages 12-16

This new camp will be available for a very limited number of participants. It will consist of an outdoor camping experience with fishing, hiking, cooking and similar camping activities.  Conducted by the Utah Foundation for the Blind.

 

June 6-July 16    UWIN: Ages 16 and older

The Utah Work Introduction Network is not actually a ?camp? but a 6-7 week summer work experience where participants have an actual job and receive wages. Also includes intensive O&M and independent living skills instruction.  Conducted by Utah Industries for the Blind with support from DSBVI, USDB and the Utah Foundation for the Blind. August 1-6  Sports Camp: 7th-12th Graders

UFB's very popular camp!  Conducted by the Utah Foundation for the Blind.
